Cardio VS Weight Training

Cardio burns now. Resistance training burns tomorrow, next week, next year, forever.... Stop running for hours and starving yourself. That will result is weight loss but what happens next year? You plateau and can’t lose anymore, why? Because You didn’t prepare for the future because you were impatient. Lifting a challenging weight with an appropriate tempo will activate the most amount of muscle fibers which will give you the highest calorie burn more than any calorie counter can estimate. Those muscle fibers will now require extra calories tomorrow in order to repair. And when those muscle fibers repair and become bigger and stronger (over time), they will now require more calories on a daily basis to maintain. And on top of all of that, you will burn more calories in your next workout! That is why strength training will make you more successful at losing and maintaining your weight in the future. The cardio will help you today but without strength training, you will not reach your full potential when considering your health and body composition. Start focusing on the future. Be patient with your results. Lift today and be healthier tomorrow. P.S. Weight training is so important for overall health and fitness, especially as we age. Women tend to do more cardio than weight training and I want to make sure you know how important it is to do! Most of the time women don't know what to do exactly, or how to properly perform a move, the value of sets and reps and changing them. How heavy to go, how do you know when to go up in weight! These are all very hard questions to answer unless you have been researching all of this and most have other lives that does not have time for all that ;). My job is to help you every step of the way on learning how to do effectively AND effeciently lift weights to help you get ALL the benefits weight training can provide! I have been doing this for over 12 years and specializing in women weight training. My Women On Weights® trademarked program has been used by 100's of women in the last 12 years and I am so excited that I am opening more time slots for my IN PERSON Women on Weights Program. 4 Women max in each class to insure I can focus on proper form. The motivation you get from being with a small group of other women all striving for the same goals is like nothing else. My job is to insure you are safe (even with injuries), and help you be the healthiest you can be. I do have virtual options as well if you don't live in Colorado Springs.
