Hi everyone, I am Dianna. I became interest in nutrition from a very young age. My brother was diagnosed with type I diabetes when he was 4. I was 7 at the time. So many changes came our way. We met with dieticians very often as a family. I still remember her name to this day, Sharon. She began to teach us the importance of food & its affect on our bodies. We all did our best to be supportive of my brother and his new life as a diabetic. For me that meant limiting candy to whenever he wasn’t around…that is hard for a 7 year old.

Fast forward to about 7 years ago. Let’s just say that life had gotten in the way of my health. I was busy working full time, raising my daughter, coaching her cheerleading team, volunteering at her school. I think as moms we put everyone else’s needs in front of our own. I finally decided to join a gym. I started working with one of the trainers there. I had nutrition questions because who doesn’t? He encouraged me to eat certain things but never gave me a reason why. And because I was so new to the space I just did what he said. He was a trainer but was not certified in nutrition. But I am so grateful for the help he did provide & for the fire for that was reignited for nutrition.

I have a background in science, more specifically I have a MS in dental hygiene. I have studied nutrition for years but decided to become officially certified for nutrition over the COVID lockdown. I am so excited to be partnering with Lori to bring my ideas for nutrition to WOW.
